Welcome to Blade and Brush, where you can talk about shaving and other topics for guys. There are a few ground rules to follow, but aside from these, this is a pretty laid back place.
RULE 1: DON'T BE A JERK
This is pretty self-explanatory, or should be, but the basic rule at play here is this: treat others with civility and respect. We all have our problems, be they deep-seated or simple daily annoyances. Don't take them out on your fellow members. Before you hit that post button, go back over what you've written and ask yourself, "Would this hurt my feelings if someone said it to me?" If the answer is yes, rewrite your post or don't post until you've calmed down.
RULE 2: NO POLITICS, RELIGION, OR BIGOTRY
Politics and religion are contentious topics of discussion that can lead to flaring tempers and lasting animosity. Well, to prevent that from happening, this forum frowns on talking politics or religion. There is also no room for bigotry here of any kind. We're all guys, whether by birth or by identification, and we share common tastes. Let those shared passions unite us, and leave the divisive stuff at the door. Think of this forum as being like your favorite watering hole. Would you want it disrupted with fighting, arguing, and bad feelings? No? Then don't do it here.
RULE 3: PLEASE KEEP THE SWEARING TO A FUCKING MINIMUM
Alright, this rule is kind of tongue-in-cheek since I don't believe in censoring profanity, but if every discussion degenerates into one endless stream of profane words, it kind of kills the topic at hand. So for now, although I won't actively censor swear words, please keep the use thereof to a minimum. We're gentlemen here.
RULE 4: NO SPAMMING OR TROLLING
This should be self-explanatory, but I'll say it anyway: leave the self-promotion and other forms of advertisement at the door, and don't post just to get people riled up. At some point, depending on how popular the forum becomes, we may upgrade to allow for sellers to post links to their wares, but for now, no advertising. The one exception to this is posting information about where to send razors for sharpening, repairs, or re-plating. As for trolling, again, see Rule 1. If it would rile you up if someone said it to you, don't post it.
